Old NC-105 (Kistler Memorial Highway) is an unpaved mountain road that can be extremely rough in places. High-clearance vehicles are recommended for travel beyond the Linville Falls parking area, and four-wheel drive may be advisable depending on conditions. Check current road and trail conditions before visiting.
